Client Overview:
NoiseSmart is an innovative UK company specialising in advanced noise analytics and personal exposure monitoring. Their mission is to provide personalised insight into the risks and causes of noise overexposure, helping individuals and organisations create healthier, quieter environments. With a strong focus on data-driven solutions, NoiseSmart works with industries ranging from construction to manufacturing, supporting workplace safety and employee wellbeing through accurate noise monitoring and analysis.
The Project:
NoiseSmart commissioned us to develop a cohesive visual identity and brand guidelines that would reflect their cutting-edge technology and clear purpose, while being flexible enough for a range of digital and print applications. The goal was to create a distinctive brand that communicates trust, expertise, and innovation, and that could be consistently applied across their website, marketing materials, product interfaces, and social channels.
Our Approach:
We began by exploring NoiseSmart’s core values, target audiences, and market positioning. From this foundation, we crafted a clean, modern logomark symbolising sound waves and data points – a visual cue for their unique approach to noise analytics. We designed a comprehensive brand board, which includes:

A bold, clear typography system using DM Sans for strong, legible messaging across headings, subheadings, and body copy.

A confident colour palette, balancing a professional monochrome base with vibrant accent colours like SmartNoise Orange and SmartNoise Blue, ensuring impact and clarity in both digital and print formats.

Custom iconography to support product features, services, and social media, designed in a clean linear style for consistency.

Visual devices and patterns, such as the noise circle and diagonal wave graphics, to add brand recognition and visual interest.

Imagery guidelines focusing on high-impact, emotive photography that highlights real-world applications of NoiseSmart’s technology, using duotone treatments and shallow depth of field for a distinctive, modern feel.
Throughout, we prioritised ease of use, ensuring the brand assets could be implemented consistently by any internal or external teams.
Results:
The new NoiseSmart brand identity provides a fresh, credible, and instantly recognisable look that communicates their expertise in noise analytics and commitment to improving health and safety. The brand board (attached) equips the NoiseSmart team with clear, actionable guidelines for applying their visual identity across all channels – from the website to printed reports and social campaigns.
