Client Overview:

When the organisers of Winchester’s Intrepid Event approached us, they faced a significant challenge: how to create a cohesive visual identity that would capture the adventurous spirit of their event whilst making complex information accessible to thousands of attendees

The Ask:

The event required a comprehensive suite of branded materials that would not only guide visitors through multiple challenges but also communicate detailed programme information for multiple events. The materials needed to appeal to adventure enthusiasts.

Our Approach:

We began by developing a distinctive visual identity that married contemporary design elements with the events adventerous and outdoor spirit.

For the wayfinding system, we created a series of illustrated maps that highlighted key challenges. These were designed to be both functional and visually engaging, helping visitors navigate between locations whilst adding to the events adventurous atmosphere.

The event programmes and infographics were crafted to handle a clear hierarchical system that allowed attendees to quickly locate events by time, venue, or activity type. Each piece maintained the events’s brand identity whilst prioritising clarity and ease of use.

Results:

The success of the visual identity and information systems contributed significantly to the success of the event. Our work demonstrated how thoughtful design can enhance the visitor experience whilst supporting operational efficiency for large-scale events.
