Minuendo Case Study
Client Overview:
Minuendo is an innovative technology company specialising in advanced hearing protection and noise monitoring solutions. Their flagship product, Smart Alert, represents a breakthrough in personal noise exposure monitoring, combining precision sensors with intelligent data analytics to help workers and safety professionals better understand and manage hearing risks in noisy environments. With a focus on worker safety and data-driven insights, Minuendo serves clients across high-risk industries where noise exposure poses significant occupational health challenges.
The Project:
Minuendo approached us to create a compelling case study that would demonstrate the real-world impact and effectiveness of their Smart Alert technology. The brief required us to showcase how their innovative hearing protection system had successfully identified and resolved previously undetectable safety issues at one of the world’s most demanding and safety-conscious organizations – NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Centre. The case study needed to highlight both the technical capabilities of Smart Alert and its practical value in protecting workers from potentially dangerous noise exposure.
Our Approach:
We worked closely with Minuendo’s team to craft a narrative that would resonate with safety professionals and decision-makers in high-risk industries. Our approach focused on presenting the NASA Armstrong collaboration as a compelling proof-of-concept, emphasizing the sophisticated environment where jet engines produce 118 decibels of noise – equivalent to sitting front-row at a rock concert. We structured the case study to walk readers through the discovery process, showing how Smart Alert uncovered a subtle but critical safety issue: technicians prematurely removing their over-ear protection while still exposed to dangerous noise levels. The content was designed to demonstrate not just the technology’s detection capabilities, but its role in fostering important safety conversations and driving behavioral change among workers.
Results:
The completed case study successfully positions Minuendo’s Smart Alert as an essential tool for advanced safety management, backed by credible validation from NASA – one of the world’s most data-driven and safety-focused organizations. The case study effectively communicates how continuous noise monitoring can reveal otherwise undetectable safety gaps and transform workplace safety culture through data-driven insights. By showcasing the technology’s ability to identify specific behavioral patterns and enable targeted safety interventions, the case study provides compelling evidence of Smart Alert’s value proposition to potential clients across aviation, manufacturing, construction, and other high-noise industries.
